Birthdays tend to produce an influx in cash flow, which encourages spending IMHO therefore, I bought a nice new Samsung SyncMaster 730BF. I am now poor again, until next year I suppose. 
I also got a little more memory for my workstation, 512MiB more infact, and a Razer Diamondback.
Rather happy now
